UNetbootin(Universal Netboot Installer)为一种跨平台工具软件，可以用来建立Live USB系统，也可以加载各种系统工具，或安装各种Linux和其他操作系统，不需使用安装光碟(自动通过网络下载)。使用了Qt4 toolkit工具并在GPLv2协议下授权。 UNetbootin allows you to create bootable Live USB drives for Ubuntu, Fedora, and other Linux distributions without burning a CD. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. You can either let UNetbootin download one of the many distributions supported out-of-the-box for you, or supply your own Linux .iso file if you've already downloaded one or your preferred distribution isn't on the list.
USB安装模式

可以加载各种系统工具，包含但不只限于，Ophcrack、BackTrack和Gujin。
其他操作系统可以被加载，透过预先下载(pre-downloaded)ISO image档或custom kernel、initrd 和软碟/硬盘机disk image档。
自动侦测所有可移除装置。
硬盘安装模式
这种安装模式执行网络安装(network installation或frugal install)不需使用安装光碟，类似透过Win32-Loader执行。
UNetbootin的不同功能在于它对多种Linux操作系统的支援，它的可携性(portability)，它加载custom kernel、initial ramdisk和disk image(含ISO image)档的能力，以及它对Windows和Linux的支援。 不像Wubi，而是类似于Win32-Loader，当安装到硬盘时, UNetbootin安装于硬盘分区(partition)，而不是disk image包，所以建立Linux和Windows的双重开机(dual-boot)设定。
Requirements
Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, or Linux, or Mac OS X 10.5+. Note that resulting USB drives are bootable only on PCs (not on Macs).
