OpenDS is an open source community project building a free and comprehensive next generation directory service, based on LDAP and DSML standards.LDAP made easy, fully featured LDAPv3 compliant directory server with multi-master replication, advance command line interface, graphical user interface and much more.
该项目为前Sun公司的开源LDAP(轻量级目录访问协议)项目，当然与专业级目录服务器(iPlanet Directory Server)不可同日而语，其发展前景并不看好，推荐不要在项目中使用它。
