Extended Module Player 或者叫 xmp 是一个可移植的基于命令行的模块播放器，适用于 Linux、BSD, Solaris, HP-UX 和 MacOS X, and also QNX, BeOS, Windows, OS/2 and AmigaOS 操作系统。可以播放超过 80钟主流的和模糊的模块格式，来自 Amiga, Atari, Acorn, Apple IIgs and PC 等平台。The Extended Module Player, or xmp, is a portable command-line module player. Xmp plays over 90 mainstream and obscure module formats from Amiga, Atari, Acorn, Apple IIgs and PC, including Protracker (MOD), Scream Tracker 3 (S3M), Fast Tracker II (XM), and Impulse Tracker (IT).
Starting at release 4.0 xmp will be split into two different packages, a library and a player application. This version has many improvements over the 3.5 player, including extensive code refactoring, improved IT support, better sound quality, more built-in decompressors and many bugfixes.
