FBReader是一个电子书阅读器。支持众多的移动设备、超便携移动个人电脑、台式电脑和运行Linux、Windows或FreeBSD的操作系统上。它支持多种电子书格式：epub、plucker、palmdoc、zTXT、HTML、CHM、fb2、TCR (psion text)、OEB、OpenReader、RTF、non-DRM'ed Mobipocket 和纯文本等广泛的格式。主体使用C++开发，在2015年之前使用GPL协议授权使用，自2015年之后闭源，但可以免费下载和使用。在功能方面，FBReader 可以直接读取 tar、zip、gzip、bzip2 等文件；支持 utf-8、us-ascii、windows-1251、windows-1252、koi8-r、ibm866、iso-8859-*、Big5、GBK 等编码，且能自动检测；此外，FBReader 还包括文本搜索、自动生成目录等功能。

o PepperPad 3 handheld web computer.
o Motorola A1200 smartphone.
o Motorola E680i/A780 smartphones. (This port is available from the third-party site.)

FBReaderJ is an e-book reader for the Android platform. It is a clone of the FBReader book reader written in Java. FBReaderJ was partially written as a student project at Academy of Modern Software Engineering (the project was done by Olga Melanich, Marina Sokol, Eugene Vlasov and Grigory Yaroslavtsev).
FBReaderJ supports several e-book formats: oeb, epub, fb2. In future releases the list will be extended to support the same formats as the original FBReader. Direct reading from zip, tar and gzip archives is supported.
