NuTyX是为i686优化的法语Linux发行版，它从Linux From Scratch和Beyond Linux From Scratch创建，并带有借鉴自CRUX的包管理器，名为cards。该包管理器能安装单独的二进制软件包，也能安装一组相关联的二进制包(例如Mate或Xfce这样的桌面软件包)，还能从ports编译源代码包。主要面向讲法语的中、高级Linux用户设计。有三种供选择的启动管理方式：SystemV, Runyx, Systemd。
NuTyX is a complete GNU/Linux distribution with high flexibility, thanks to the collections and the groups concepts.
We recommend that potential users first acquire some good knowledge about the GNU/Linux system. Original concepts like Base ISO installation, 'install-nutyx' script, the independent GRUB installation procedure, the collections, the 'cards' package manager will trouble those with little GNU/Linux system experience.
It's an excellent operating system for people who want to commit themselves to developing their skills further and learning how a Linux system is put together.
NuTyX offers the MATE, LXDE, KDE5 and XFCE graphical interfaces in binary form.
