为了创造一个针对所有开放网络技术的最终资源，Google、Apple、Adobe、Facebook、HP、微软、Mozilla、Nokia和Opera联合加入了W3C并一同发布了一个叫做Web Platform的新网络标准普及网站，这个网站将作为相关资源的发布站，包括HTML 5、CSS3和其它网络标准，为网络开发者提供一些技术示范和技巧。
